Miss Kelsey and Miss Sarah's Class

January Newsletter

Happy New Year! We would like to thank all of those who helped make our Christmas party and gift exchange such a success! We hope you all had a great holiday season. With the new year comes some new students, so we would like your help in welcoming our new friends Madalyn, Emma and Brady! We are happy to have you in our class!

We also have a Birthday this month, Happy Birthday Taiyo!

Just some quick reminders and changes this month:

There wil no longer be a behavior chart on the bulletin board. We will be sending home an "About My Day" paper in your child's pocket. Please be sure to check your child's pocket daily. This is to give you a more specific, personalized, and confidential account of your child's day. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us anytime.

Please do not send sippy cups to school. We are trying to teach your child independence by drinking from a regular cup.

If your child is potty training, please check to make sure he/she has enough extra clothes and shoes in their cubby.

As the weather is still cooler, please be sure that your child  brings a jacket with their name printed inside.

Miss Sarah

Hi, my name is Sarah Callender. I'm 21 years old and have enjoyed working with preschool children for over 3 years. I also had the great opportunity to spend the Summer of 2010 in Peru, South America, teaching English to children of all ages. I'm currently studying Child Development/Educational Studies at Fullerton College, and look forward to completing my AA degree in the Fall of 2011. I'm so excited to be working at a school where I have the privilege of teaching young children about their loving Savior!

Miss Kelsey

Hello, my name is Kelsey Worthington and I am so blessed to be a part of Liberty Christian Preschool! I recently earned my certificate in Early Childhood Education from Vanguard University, and enjoy every minute of my studies of how the young mind works, learn and grows! I am currently working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, so that I may continue to grow and learn as an educator. I also enjoy serving in ministry, which includes teaching Sunday School and Missions. I have traveled to the Philippines, Mexico and Kentucky on mission trips and am always ready and willing for the Lord to send me out again! My life verse is Proverbs 31:30 "Charm is deceptive, beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
