A little bit about Miss Joanna and her class

Hello, my name is Miss Joanna! Here are some things I would love to share about myself: I am a graduate from Cal State Long Beach, I have a bachelor's degree in Human Development with emphasis in Child Development, and I have been teaching in the preschool environment for seven years and working with children for the past ten years.

I love to teach and I love to learn. Everyday, I look forward to teaching children what I have learned about God's creation. My teaching style is a blend of paper practice and hands-on learning. Children are unique and they all learn differently. Because of this, I try to teach in a way that helps all types of learners using dance, singing, story telling, art, learning centers, writing, mathematics and more.

My goal for the Pre-K class is to prepare them for the next big step in their lives, Kindergarten!

This is a bible verse and quote that Miss Joanna tries to teach by!

Romans 12: 7 - If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.

"Children are great imitators. So give them something great to imitate."
