8th Grade Listening to Career Day Guest Speakers Then Giving a Speech of Their Own on a Career
...The 8th graders spend much of their second quarter working on a research paper. Every student chooses a different job or career to research then writes about. At the end of the unit guests are welcomed to attend 'Career Day" and share about their career with the students. The students then end the semester getting up in front of the class, and give a formal speech of their own, on whatever their researched career was.

Ben, Katie, Hunter, Adrienne, and Michael shared with the class information about scientists, pediatricians, military leaders, chefs, and bankers
